Don't worry you are NOT alone ! Some say that over 20% of the population are Bi or certainly have Bisexual fantasies!
Having an attraction to someone of the same sex can be a very difficult situation to be in and certainly a very frightening experience. So much so, that you may attempt to deny your true feelings.Soon enough though those feelings resurface. As much as you try, you just cannot get them out of your head. Finally, you may stop resisting. You'll cover that being truly honest with yourself makes you feel as though a great weight has been lifted from your shoulders!
Life could be viewed as possibly being more demanding if you are Gay or Bi. You will have to learn that the most important thing is, regardless of what others may think of you is really having to be honest with yourself. When you accept that fact, you can take the next step which is "coming out". Millions of people worldwide have done it and say it was the best thing they ever did!!
Coming out and accepting your Sexuality
Now that you've accepted what you feel in your heart, you'll probably need to tell someone. You don't have to! However if you do take my advice: not everyone you tell will be impressed.. Some people will be happy at the news and think it's cool. others will not take kindlt to it and for a few - and we really love these - it won't make any difference at all. The hardest part is that it's not generally easy to predict how anyone will react. So while coming out will probably feel like a great relief, it may also make you a bit tense for a while. You may feel apprehensive about telling the crowd you hang out with because you think they may become funny about it. They probably think it's trendy for celebrities but they really may not like you being gay or bisexual. They may try & tease you. If your in a relationship and have children, you may be worried that being bisexual will be used by your partner or your 'in laws' to say that you're not acceptable to be a father.
Get to make some new Bi Friends!
Remember the old adage "No man, is an island" ? Well, I think we all appreciate a helping hand from time to time. Sexuality is not about getting from A to B it really is all made in the journey..
